The rules as to whether or not you can bring a drone on your travels primarily depends on the battery type and size.
- Lithium batteries below 100 Wh
You can bring your drone and attached battery, along with extra lithium batteries in your hand luggage.
You can bring your drone and attached battery in your check-in luggage. It is not permitted to bring extra lithium batteries in checked in luggage.
- Lithium batteries from 100 - 160 Wh
To bring extra batteries from 100 - 160 Wh, you will need permission from your airline. If permitted, you are allowed to bring up to two batteries in your carry-on. It is not permitted to bring extra batteries in your check-in luggage.
- Lithium batteries above 160 Wh
If you want to bring lithium batteries exceeding 160 Wh, they wil need to be transported as "Dangerous Goods". In this case, contact your airline for permission. They are not allowed to be brought in neither hand luggage, nor check-in luggage.
If you wish to travel with additional batteries the terminals need to be protected to prevent any risks of short circuit. The batteries need to be either in their original packing, the terminals need to be protected with tape or to be transported in separate bags or cases.

Beyond that, you should always find out, whether your airline has any own special rules about transportation of liquid batteries.
